I'm Yalın Pala.

I'm a software craftsperson and the founder of Mikoriza Network, a small, independent technology company. I have been building things since long before it was my job.

At Mikoriza I make small, reliable software: apps for learning and productivity, and a monitoring service for device fleets. I write about them, and about the ideas behind them, on my blog.

I care about Free and Open Source Software and share my own work, like gorege, a small rule engine for Go. I have been a member of the FSF since 2015, the same year I founded Perl Mongers Ankara. I'm also a member of the Chaos Computer Club, Europe's largest hacker association.

I'm currently pursuing an MS in Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder.

I'm a big fan of role-playing games. I enjoy indie games and sometimes make games of my own. I also like reading comics and keep a modest collection. You can see what I'm playing and reading right now on my now page.
